“Spreading the Wealth Around”?

He hasn’t even taken office and it has already started……… http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/01/07/porn-industry-seeks-federal-bailout/

Things have officially gone too far.  I can understand bailing out the banks because, as much as I hate government interference in private enterprise, the banks hold all of the liquid assets for the entire nation.  I can even swallow bailing out the auto industry to save millions of American jobs.  When we start talking about the Government paying $5 billion dollars to bail out an immoral and unnecessary industry that is not even in financial difficulty, WE’RE… GETTING… SCREWED!

My simple opinion?  If your local congressman, no matter how lovable, votes to approve a $5 billion dollar loan that you are going to have to fund for the PORN INDUSTRY… throw the bum out of office!  My slightly more complex opinion?  If Congressional Republicans are dumb enough to approve this loan, they are no longer republicans… they are donkeys in elephantine clothing and have truly forgotten what it means to be a Republican.

  1. um. this is meant as a joke. are you really taking this seriously?

  2. Gee. Don’t hold back; tell us how you really feel. 🙂

  3. Okay, the above story gives no indication that this is a joke. If it actually is, then CNN has lost all journalistic credibility they might have hoped to salvage after their underwhelming election coverage in 2000 and 2004. My sense of humor stops at “Larry Flint”.

My biggest question… if this is an actual joke, then what is CNN doing reporting it? If it isn’t a joke, how many delusional suckers are there that think it is?

  4. Sorry, Larry Flint is a disagreeable little toad. He has a magazine that he can use to publish his views, I don’t see how anything he says could be considered news anywhere else, joke or not.
